We are currently hiring for the position of Processing Technician at our Edmonton Alberta location. This is a full-time, permanent role with a comprehensive compensation package that includes:

Primary duties and responsibilities:
.Safely load and unload hazardous materials and equipment from trucks; complete all associated shipping and receiving documentation.
.Transport lamps and materials between storage and processing areas using forklifts, pump carts, or other equipment.
.Unpack, sort, and prepare lamps and electrical equipment for processing and recycling.
.Set up and operate processing machinery; monitor equipment and perform pre-start inspections.
.Drain transformer oil and dismantle electrical equipment in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
.Sort, tag, and weigh recovered metals (copper, aluminum, mixed); prepare and label skids for storage or shipment.
.Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and overhead cranes safely.
.Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.
.Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (respirator, goggles, gloves, hard hat, coveralls, safety boots).
.Complete time-tracking and other required paperwork accurately.
.Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Able to work in a dirty and dusty work environment
• Able to work in cold working environment in the winter and hot working environment during the summer months
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Forklift experience considered an asset
