Full-Time Motor Mechanic
OZE-LANKA Pty Ltd, located at Unit 6, 33 Danaher Drive, South Morang Victoria 3752, is seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Motor Mechanic to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and maintaining the company’s in-house fleet of 50+ motor vehicles consisting of delivery vans, cars and motorcycles, ensuring all assets are serviced, road worthy compliant, and operating efficiently. In addition to workshop-based duties, the role will also involve providing mobile mechanical services as required where vehicles are garaged from Melbourne Metro areas to Gippsland regional arears covering of up to 16 suburbs at present and growing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Service and maintain a wide range of motor vehicles and motorcycles in line with manufacturer specifications.
• Manage and maintain the company’s internal fleet of 50+ vehicles which includes Delivery Vans, Cars and motorcycles
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and determine appropriate repair solutions
• Repair or replace defective parts and components, followed by testing
• Conduct post-repair testing to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and safe for use
• Operate diagnostic scan tools to identify engine and system faults
• Dismantle and repair engines, transmissions, steering systems, and other components
• Carry out roadworthy inspections and report required actions for compliance
• Provide mobile mechanical services when required, including on-site diagnostics and repairs
Skills & Requirements:
• Relevant qualification in Automobile Mechanics (Certificate level or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in vehicle servicing and repairs
• Proven experience with diagnostic equipment
• Knowledge of auto electrical systems and air-conditioning servicing
• Ability to work independently and manage fleet maintenance schedules effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
