Position Title: Full-time Reception Centre Manager
Salary: A$ 77,000 + Superannuation
Mineral Springs Hotel is a historic boutique hotel located in the heart of spa country in Hepburn Springs, within the Daylesford and Macedon Ranges region of Victoria. Renowned for its elegant rooms, landscaped gardens, and refined atmosphere, the hotel offers a sophisticated setting for both leisure stays and special events.
The property features a well-regarded on-site restaurant and bar, delivering a European-inspired dining experience with carefully curated seasonal menus. Our culinary offering highlights fresh, locally sourced produce and is tailored to suit a variety of functions, from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations. With a strong focus on hospitality and events, the venue also operates as a reception and function centre, hosting weddings, private events, and corporate occasions in a relaxed yet upscale environment.
We are now seeking an experienced Reception Centre Manager to lead our front-of-house and events operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences across accommodation, dining, and functions.
Tasks include:
• Oversee daily operations of the reception and event venues, ensuring all spaces are presented and operated to a high standard for weddings, conferences, functions and retreats
• Lead and supervise reception and events staff, including rostering, training, and performance management, to maintain service excellence
• Oversee setup, service, and pack-down of all event spaces, including conference rooms, event areas, and ceremony locations
• Ensure compliance with venue policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards
• Drive sales performance by converting enquiries into confirmed bookings and supporting promotional initiatives
• Manage group accommodation bookings and room allocations for weddings and conferences, ensuring occupancy optimisation and guest satisfaction
• Coordinate closely with front office, housekeeping, kitchen, spa, and maintenance teams to align accommodation, dining, and event operations
• Manage end-to-end planning and delivery of events, including client consultation, proposals, contracts and execution of Event Orders (EOs)
• Manage invoicing, deposits, and final payments in coordination with the accounts team
• Monitor and control event budgets, pricing, and costings to ensure profitability, including upselling of accommodation, food and beverage, and spa services for event clients
• Handle guest and client feedback, resolving issues promptly to maintain a strong reputation and repeat business
• Monitor operational performance, including revenue, service quality, and client satisfaction, and implement continuous improvements
Skill level required:
• Minimum Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management
• Minimum 1 year of proven experience in hotel management or senior hospitality leadership
• Have a strong understanding of the hotel industry, market trends, customer service standards and how to exceed them
• The ability to engage and build relationships with regular clientele
• Excellent communication, customer service and conflict management skills
• Confident using SIHOT, ResDiary, iVvy
• Professional, detail-oriented and client-focused
• Reliable, self-motivated and a strong team player
