An exclusive luxury safari lodge group is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead multiple high-end lodges within a renowned private reserve.
About the Role
This is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall management, operations, and strategic direction of multiple lodges. The ideal candidate will deliver world-class guest experiences, lead high-performing teams, and drive sustainability and community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee full lodge operations across multiple properties
• Maintain and elevate exceptional guest service standards
• Lead, mentor, and develop management teams and staff
• Manage budgets, financial controls, and CAPEX planning
• Drive sustainability and conservation initiatives
• Build strong relationships with local communities & stakeholders
• Oversee HR, training, and staff development plans
• Ensure health, safety, and risk compliance
• Collaborate across departments (operations, culinary, conservation, air/ground logistics)
• Host VIP guests, agents, and media
Requirements
• 3 5 years’ experience in a senior lodge management role
• Proven leadership within luxury hospitality environments
• Strong financial and operational management skills
• Passion for conservation and sustainable tourism
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and service excellence
• Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous)
• Computer literate
Advantageous Experience
• Managing multi-lodge or large-scale operations
• Working within wildlife or remote lodge environments
• Experience engaging with local communities
