About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. This role requires a dedicated professional who can contribute to a high-performing kitchen, uphold quality standards, and assist in delivering a diverse and evolving menu.

The successful candidate will play a key role in daily kitchen operations, menu development, and maintaining a high standard of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, including pizzas, pasta, soups, poultry, seafood, and red meat dishes
• Develop and refine recipes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are maintained
• Assist in planning and updating menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and contemporary trends
• Oversee kitchen operations during service, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of meals
• Monitor food preparation processes and ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s quality expectations
• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in line with regulatory requirements
• Manage stock levels, food storage, and rotation to minimise waste and ensure freshness
• Assist in ordering supplies and liaising with suppliers as required
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and procedures
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

Skills and Experience Required
• Qualifications - Minimum of Certificate IV in Kitchen Management Commercial Cookery or a related field. If you are holding an Diploma in Hospitality Management, it will be an advantage.
• At least 1 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
• Experience working with a variety of cuisines, including modern Australian and European-inspired dishes
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques across different food categories (meat, seafood, sauces, etc.)
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to food quality
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work independently when required
