A registered business in Australia since 09 May 2020 is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Company Manager to join our team on a full-time basis, based in 20 Palatial Crescent Griffin Qld 4503, Australia.
This role is responsible for the safe and cost-effective management of the AR AUS PTY LTD fleet and subcontractor operations. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and achieving operational efficiency in a medium-sized fleet environment.
You’ll work collaboratively with our team, where every decision is guided by safety, service, and cost considerations. You will partner closely with drivers, customers, and subcontractors to achieve and exceed operational and financial metrics, as well as drive continuous improvement and provide mentorship to new drivers.
Position: Full-Time 38 hours per week Salary Package: $142,000 to $147,000 per annum (plus superannuation)
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• Maintain and promote a positive safety culture, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory compliance.
• Analyse equipment usage and operational tasks to optimise resource utilisation, routing, and subcontractor management.
• Foster a "safety-first" mindset, ensuring commitment to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and quality standards at all times.
• Lead, manage, and mentor team members while providing strong analytical leadership.
• Ensure cost and revenue accountability while seeking continuous improvement opportunities.
• Conduct mandatory safety audits and compliance tasks regularly.
• Oversee asset management and ensure adherence to scheduled maintenance programs.
• Develop operational strategies aligned with future growth and business projections.
• Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) to support a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus. To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
Required Skills
• Minimum Diploma-level qualification in Business or Management (or equivalent in Australia).
• Full-time availability and strong staff management skills.
• At least 1 year of experience managing personnel and equipment within a road transport operation.
• Strong understanding of financial metrics, KPIs, and cost control.
• A process-driven, analytical, and methodical approach to work.
• Self-motivation and a results-oriented mindset.
• In-depth knowledge of Southeast Queensland's geography.
• Excellent planning and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic WMS/TMS software.
• Knowledge of NHVAS, CoR (Fatigue, Load, and Mass Management), and Dangerous Goods Awareness (including segregation requirements).
• Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or DG transport is highly regarded, though not essential
