Benjaporn Dining Pty Ltd operates two established Asian restaurants in Gulgong:
• Asian Kitchen Gulgong (located inside Gulgong RSL Club)
• Thai To You Gulgong
Both venues specialise in authentic and modern Asian cuisine, including Thai curries, stir-fries, wok-based dishes, noodle dishes, rice specialties, and selected Malaysian, Indonesian, Chinese recipes and some popular Australian specials.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking:
• One Full-Time Cook

POSITION FULL-TIME COOK
Location: Thai To You Gulgong
Salary: $75,000 - $78,000 Commensurate with experience + superannuation
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook Thai and other Asian dishes including curries, stir-fries, noodle dishes and rice dishes
• Operate and regulate wok burners, grills, deep fryers and other commercial kitchen equipment
• Prepare and portion meats, seafood, vegetables and herbs for service
• Assist in preparing curry pastes, sauces and marinades according to established recipes
• Ensure correct seasoning and balance of flavours in accordance with menu standards
• Plate dishes with appropriate garnishes and presentation techniques
• Store food in temperature-controlled facilities in compliance with food safety standards
• Monitor stock rotation and assist with ordering of Asian ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations
• Assist in training junior kitchen staff when required

Skills and Experience Required
• Relevant commercial cookery qualification (minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Kitchen Management or higher preferred)
• A Minimum 1 2 years’ experience (Cook) working in a commercial setting
• Experience cooking Thai and related Asian cuisines is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform high-volume wok cooking in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Asian herbs, spices and traditional cooking techniques
• Strong time management and teamwork skills
• Willing to do overtime and some weekend work.
• Willingness to live and work in regional NSW
