Systems Administrator Full-time
SALARY $85,000 plus superannuation a year

DUTIES
• Manage and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure including servers, operating systems, databases and network services to ensure reliable system performance.
• Install, configure, test and support enterprise servers, workstations, software applications and communication systems across the business environment.
• Monitor system and network performance using monitoring tools and proactively identify faults, capacity issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Investigate and resolve system, server and network incidents to minimise downtime and maintain business continuity.
• Implement and maintain backup processes, disaster recovery procedures and system security controls to safeguard organisational data and infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, operational procedures and system changes.
• Evaluate existing IT systems and recommend improvements to infrastructure, hardware, software and operating environments.
• Administer user access, system permissions and security policies to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of IT systems.
• Support integration and deployment of new servers, applications and infrastructure upgrades in accordance with organisational requirements.
• Monitor system capacity, usage and performance trends and provide recommendations for future infrastructure upgrades.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or a related field.
• At least 2 3 years’ experience in systems administration, network administration or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience administering Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 / cloud services and enterprise email systems.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches and LAN/WAN environments.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting IT systems and network infrastructure.
• Experience with network monitoring or infrastructure management tools is desirable.
