Full time Civil Engineer
Duties:
• Developed civil designs and detailed documentation for driveways, pathways, accessways, site grading and parking facilities ensuring designs complied with relevant standards and planning requirements.
• Designed and analysed stormwater systems (On-Site Detention, Charged Line Calculations and Surcharge Infiltration Design) using hydraulic modelling tools, incorporating catchment analysis, detention and retention systems, and flood risk mitigation for both urban and rural developments.
• Contributed to the design and documentation of retaining walls for rural and urban properties, collaborating with structural engineers to ensure stability and code compliance.
• Performed detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and financial feasibility analysis for proposed infrastructure works, contributing to project budgeting and tender documentation.
• Carried out structural and civil calculations, including load assessments, slope stability, water flow capacity, and ground compaction metrics, ensuring all design elements met safety and engineering standards.
• Developed and certified Work As Executed (WAE) plans, ensuring that the constructed works matched the approved documentation and met all regulatory standards.
• Collaborated closely with structural, geotechnical, and surveying teams to integrate cross-disciplinary data and insights, producing comprehensive and cohesive engineering solutions.
• Oversaw and coordinated various phases of engineering projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction oversight, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
• Delivered tailored civil engineering solutions for modular buildings, including foundation design, site drainage, and service coordination.
• Conducted site inspections during design and construction stages to ensure on-site execution was consistent with engineering intent and regulatory compliance.
• Liaised with clients, architects, contractors, councils, and utility authorities to manage project objectives, address design challenges, and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Compiled civil engineering reports, supporting calculations, and documentation packages for Development Applications, Building Permits, and Council Submissions.
• Participated in design reviews and risk assessments to identify constructability issues, potential cost escalations, and opportunities for design optimization.
Skills and Experience
• Relevant bachelor's degree in the relevant fields is essential.
• Minimum three years of experience is required
• Expert skills in software- SpaceGass, Microstran, Strand7, MUSIC, ETABS, SLB, ClearCals, Hyne Design, AUTO CAD, BIM, SKETCH UP, Check Wind,
• Knowledge on Australian Standards: AS1170 AS1379, AS3727, As2890 AS3500, AS3600, AS4100, AS4600,
• AS2870, AS1684, AS4055, AS4678,) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, PDF Exchange
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, along with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
