Position Overview
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations during assigned shifts to ensure guest rooms and shared areas are presented to a high standard. This role supports the daily coordination of the housekeeping team, works closely with other departments, and ensures that service standards, operational procedures, and workplace safety requirements are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily activities of housekeeping staff and monitor work completed during the shift.
• Review and inspect rooms and public areas to confirm cleanliness and presentation standards are achieved.
• Distribute work assignments and organise room allocations for the housekeeping team.
• Coordinate staff to ensure rooms are prepared and available within required timeframes.
• Ensure guest requests and special cleaning instructions are carried out promptly.
• Support team members through guidance, instruction, and on-the-job training when required.
• Address guest queries or concerns related to housekeeping services in a professional manner.
• Work collaboratively with the front office and maintenance teams to resolve operational matters.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies and oversee appropriate handling of laundry and waste.
• Assist with scheduling or adjusting staff rosters to meet operational demands.
• Promote safe work practices, including correct manual handling techniques.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety policies and internal procedures.
• Contribute to maintaining departmental cost controls and operational efficiency.

Skills and Experience
• Experience working in housekeeping within hotels, motels, or similar accommodation settings.
• Previous experience leading or coordinating a team is highly regarded.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workloads and meet operational deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of workplace safety standards in hospitality environments.
