Full time Cook

To prepare, cook, season, portion food and serve high-quality meals for the customers, maintain taste, nutrition and hygiene as high priorities.

Job Duties:
• Preparing and cooking Italian-style dishes including pizzas, pasta, seafood and grill items
• Preparing fresh dough, sauces and toppings according to house recipes
• Managing dinner service efficiently
• Preparing fresh ingredients daily and ensure food quality and consistency
• Following recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards
• Assisting the Head Chef with seasonal menu planning and development
• Operating across multiple kitchen stations as required
• Maintaining stock rotation and minimise food wastage
• Operating pizza ovens and commercial kitchen equipment safely
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Assisting with opening and closing kitchen procedures
• Coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely completion of orders
• Supporting head chef in daily kitchen operations
• Maintaining cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and food preparation areas
• Assisting with basic rostering and workflow coordination when required

Skills and Experience required:
• Minimum 3 Years of experience in the relevant field
• Experience in Italian cuisine or similar restaurant environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in busy service periods
• Experience assisting in menu planning
• Experience in stock control and food wastage minimization
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Skills to cook pizza with stone gas fired/ wood fire is mandatory
• Cooking with gluten free base product menu item knowledge is essential
