Job description: Hydraulic Store & Parts Clerk
Area: Pretoria North
Starting date: Immediately
Renumeration: Market Related depending on experience Valid driver’s licence a must

Our client is looking to employ a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Hydraulic Store & Parts Clerk with hands-on technical experience in hydraulic hoses, fittings, pipe assembly, and hose crimping machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for parts sales, inventory control, hose manufacturing, and providing technical support to customers and workshop staff. Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English!
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, identify, and issue hydraulic components, including hoses, fittings, adapters, and pipes
• Assemble hydraulic hoses and pipework to specification, including cutting, crimping, testing, and Labeling
• Operate and maintain hose crimping machines and related equipment
• Assist customers with technical advice on hydraulic systems, hose specifications, and fitting Selection
• Manage store inventory, stock counts, ordering, and goods receiving
• Prepare quotations, invoices, and delivery notes
• Ensure correct storage and handling of hydraulic components
• Maintain housekeeping, safety, and quality standards in the store and hose assembly area
• Work closely with workshop technicians to support repairs and breakdowns
Requirements & Qualifications
• Proven experience in hydraulic hoses, fittings, and pipe assembly
• Practical knowledge of hose crimping machines and pressure ratings
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic specifications and drawings
• Experience in a hydraulic store, workshop, or engineering environment
• Basic computer skills (stock systems, invoicing, emails, attention to detail and commitment to safety
Skills & Competencies
• Technical problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Strong organisational and stock control skills
• Team player with a hands-on approach
Advantageous (but not essential)
• Experience with mobile hydraulics, earthmoving, or industrial applications
