Small Victory Bakery (Granville) is located at #13070 Granville St, Vancouver, BC V6H 3J8. We are currently looking for permanent, full time Pastry Cooks. If you are interested, please submit your resume by Mail or e-mail.

Position: Pastry Cook
Wages: CAD $20.00 $23.00 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
Type: Full-time, Permanent (various shifts including early mornings, weekends, and holidays)
Working Hours: 30 40 hours per week
Benefits: 4% vacation pay; health care benefits

Job Duties:
• Prepare and cook complete pastry and dessert dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
• Prepare laminated dough products such as croissants and brioche using professional pastry preparation techniques
• Prepare and cook savoury pastry dishes including quiches, empanadas, hand pies, and other pastry-based items
• Prepare fillings, custards, creams, sauces, and other pastry components from scratch
• Assemble, finish, and decorate cakes and plated desserts to meet presentation standards
• Maintain portion control and ensure consistency in quality and presentation
• Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and ensure product freshness
• Assist in planning and developing seasonal pastry and dessert menu items
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety regulations
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff as required

Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of a college program in cooking or 2 3 years of commercial pastry cooking experience
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
• Skills demonstration may be required
