Position: Full Time Motor Mechanic
Introduction:
R Star Auto Repairs, a trusted and well-established automotive service provider based in the west of Melbourne’s Central Business District, is seeking a skilled and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our growing team. R Star Auto Repairs has built a strong reputation for delivering premium mechanical and electrical repair services, offering high quality diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across all vehicle makes and models.

Tasks Include:
• Inspecting and identifying the faults
• Repairing and maintenance of both diesel and petrol vehicle engines
• Repairing and servicing of heavy vechicles such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
• Performing schedule maintenance services as per the required standards
• Detecting and diagnosing the mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
• General servicing and maintenance of all makes and models of vehicles
• Testing the vehicles after repairs to ensure that vehicle is safe to use
• Providing expert advice and reporting potentially dangerous risks of the customer's vehicles
• Estimating the cost involved for the repair works
• Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired, testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
• Managing the spare parts order and stock
• Troubleshooting the faults of different models using computerised techniques
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Experience in tyre balancing, replacement and wheel alightment

Skills and experience required:
• Minimum Diploma of Automotive Technology is essential
• Full unrestricted Australian working rights
• Minimum 1 year experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic
• Current Australian drivers license
• Passion for the automotive industry and being a team player
• Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
