About the Role

Pacific Motor Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Autoglazier to join its workshop team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the removal, repair and installation of automotive glass components across a range of vehicle types, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Remove damaged windscreens, side windows and rear glass from vehicles using appropriate tools and safe procedures.
• Inspect vehicles to assess glass damage and determine suitable repair or replacement methods.
• Install new glass components, ensuring proper alignment, sealing and bonding in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
• Apply adhesives and sealants correctly to ensure structural integrity and weatherproofing.
• Calibrate and test vehicle systems affected by glass replacement, including sensors and camera systems where applicable.
• Repair minor chips and cracks using industry-approved techniques and materials.
• Maintain accurate job records, including materials used and work completed.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures, particularly in the handling of glass and chemical adhesives.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Work collaboratively with service advisors, panel technicians and other workshop staff to ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Provide professional communication to customers regarding repair processes and timeframes where required.

Position Requirements
• Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience in automotive glazing.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant post-trade experience.
• Demonstrated experience in windscreen removal, installation and chip repair.
• Understanding of modern vehicle safety systems and glass-mounted technologies.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety standards.
