Job Description
Join an early-stage tech startup as a Sales and Customer Acquisition Volunteer, dedicating 3 hours daily (Monday-Friday) over 60 days to gain hands-on experience in tech startup sales. You'll work with the founding team to identify potential customers, conduct outreach, and participate in the sales process from prospecting to closing. This role offers a unique opportunity to see how early-stage companies find their first customers and validate product-market fit.
Over your 60-day volunteer term, you'll focus on building foundational sales skills: researching target markets, crafting outreach messages, conducting discovery calls, and tracking results in a CRM. You'll learn how to communicate value propositions, handle objections, and gather customer feedback that shapes product development. The startup environment offers rapid learning and you'll see immediate results from your efforts and gain practical experience that translates directly to entry-level sales roles.
This opportunity suits individuals exploring sales careers, recent graduates, or professionals transitioning into tech sales. You'll work independently with regular check-ins, allowing flexibility within your 3-hour daily commitment while building a portfolio of sales experience.

What you will do
Volunteer Activities
* Research and identify target customer segments and build prospect lists
* Craft personalized outreach emails and LinkedIn messages
* Conduct 2-3 discovery calls per week with potential customers
* Document conversations and insights in CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce)
* Create simple sales collateral (one-pagers, email templates)
* Track outreach metrics and weekly pipeline progress
* Participate in weekly strategy sessions with the team
* Gather and synthesize customer feedback for product team
