Hoe! Hoe! Hoe! Gardening Services Ltd. is seeking a Landscape Foreman for its Vancouver location. This is a full-time, year-round position starting mid-February 2026. The position is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week during the peak season (March November) and 30 hours per week during the slower season (December February). The wage is $35.00 - $37.00 per hour (depending on experience), paid semi-weekly. Employees accumulate vacation based on two weeks of paid vacation per year. Clothing, weather-appropriate gear, and safety equipment are provided. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly wage. The company offers a comprehensive medical plan, training courses, and observes municipal, provincial, and national statutory holidays.

Job Duties:
• Oversee and coordinate daily landscaping operations to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard of quality and detail;
• Supervise, train, and support landscape construction helpers and crew members;
• Plan, organize, and participate in the construction of landscaped environments, including ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers, lawns, and softscape features;
• Assign tasks and ensure work is completed according to schedules, plans, and safety standards;
• Plant and maintain residential and commercial lawns and gardens;
• Maintain established lawns through weeding, dethatching, aerating, mulching, and fertilizing;
• Monitor and ensure the efficient operation of irrigation systems;
• Prune annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees using appropriate horticultural techniques;
• Install and oversee the installation of paving stone patios, walkways, driveways, retaining walls, fences, ponds, and water features;
• Perform and supervise stone and natural stone work, including taking measurements, reading drawings, cutting, and laying materials on various surfaces;
• Assist with site preparation, excavation, and grading as part of landscaping projects;
• Ensure proper use, repair, and maintenance of landscaping tools and equipment;
• Enforce workplace safety standards and company policies at all times.
Requirements:
• Completion of high school;
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles, including trucks;
• Minimum 3 years of landscaping experience, including leadership or crew coordination responsibilities;
• Strong knowledge of plant materials, soil types, irrigation systems, pest control, and landscape construction methods;
• Ability to lift and handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs);
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions;
• Ability to speak and read English.
