About the role
We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team in a senior cooking role. Depending on experience, the position may operate at Chef de Partie or Sous Chef level. The role involves supervising kitchen sections, maintaining food quality, supporting junior staff, and contributing to smooth daily kitchen operations.

Key duties and responsibilities
•Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with menu specifications, recipes, and quality standards
•Take responsibility for a designated kitchen section and ensure it is fully prepared for service
•Supervise, guide, and support Demi Chefs, Commis Chefs, and kitchen assistants during preparation and service
•Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation throughout all stages of production
•Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely and efficient service
•Assist with menu planning, specials, and seasonal offerings in consultation with senior chefs
•Support ordering, stock control, storage, and stock rotation to minimise waste and control costs
•Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safe work practices at all times
•Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and workplace health and safety requirements
•Assist in the training and development of junior kitchen staff
•Step into broader kitchen supervision duties when required, including overseeing service flow and staff allocation

Skills and experience required
•Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery
•At least 3-years experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a professional kitchen environment
•Strong technical cooking skills and understanding of kitchen operations
•Ability to supervise staff and maintain service standards under pressure
•Good organisational, communication, and teamwork skills
•Experience in meat focused menus and high volume service is highly regarded
