Chef (Indian Restaurant)
Permanent and Full Time
Indian Rasoi (DIVYAJYOTI PTY. LTD) is a busy restaurant located in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales 2650. The business is seeking to employ a full-time Chef with experienced in leading kitchen operations.
Duties:
• Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
• Ordering food supplies and maintaining appropriate stock levels
• Monitoring the quality of dishes during preparation and presentation
• Discussing food preparation issues with the manager
• Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on cooking procedures
• Preparing and cooking food
• Explaining and enforcing food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
• Selecting, training, and supervising kitchen staff as required
• Freezing and preserving foods in line with food safety requirements
Requirements:
• A relevant Certificate IV or higher qualification or another acceptable trade qualification or at least 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant full-time work experience
• Strong knowledge of Indian groceries, spices, and traditional preparations
• Full work rights in Australia.
Remuneration and Conditions:
An annual remuneration between $76,515 and $83,000 plus superannuation will be offered to the right candidate, depending on skills and experience. Employment conditions will be provided in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award (MA000119).
