Cook (Indian Restaurant)
Permanent and Full Time
Indian Rasoi (DIVYAJYOTI PTY. LTD) is a busy restaurant located in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales 2650. The business is seeking to employ a full-time Cook with experience in preparing both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from North Indian, South Indian and Mughlai cuisines.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the following areas:
• Food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
• Estimating, ordering, and receiving stock and supplies
• Competent and safe use of all kitchen equipment and tools
• Strong understanding of food hygiene, health, and safety requirements
• Freezing and preserving foods to reduce wastage
• Training kitchen staff
Requirements:
• A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification, an apprenticeship, another acceptable trade qualification, or at least 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant full-time work experience
• Strong knowledge of Indian groceries, spices, and traditional preparations
• Full work rights in Australia
Remuneration and Conditions:
An annual remuneration between $76,515 and $78,000 plus superannuation will be offered to the right candidate, depending on skills and experience. Employment conditions will be provided in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award (MA000119).
