FULL TIME MECHANICAL ENGINEER
SALARY $82,500 + SUPERANNUATION

A&M Packaging is a leading provider of innovative packaging machinery and automation solutions, supporting food, beverage and industrial manufacturers across Australia. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, installation and ongoing performance of our packaging equipment and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical equipment, machinery, tooling and components used in automated packaging and manufacturing environments.

Plan and design mechanical layouts, production flows and processes for packaging lines and associated plant equipment to ensure efficiency, safety and reliability.

Oversee the assembly, installation, erection and commissioning of packaging machinery and mechanical systems at client sites and within production facilities.

Analyse mechanical systems and components to evaluate performance, identify improvements and ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards.

Conduct inspections, testing and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment, and investigate mechanical faults, breakdowns or unexpected maintenance issues.

Work closely with production, electrical, automation and operations teams to support continuous improvement and optimise plant performance.

Prepare technical drawings, documentation, reports and engineering specifications in line with company and industry requirements.

Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience in manufacturing, packaging machinery, automation or industrial plant environments.

Strong understanding of mechanical design, installation and commissioning processes.

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures and provide practical engineering solutions.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a hands-on approach.
