Healthy Kids Programs is hiring staff for our Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year.
JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
LOCATION: Candlewood Elementary School in Brookfield, NY
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Childcare Program Staff
PAY: $16.94 per hour
HOURS: 7:00 - 8:50 am and 3:35 - 5:00 pm
The Before and After School Program Team is responsible for:
Leading engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and other group experiences, as well as offering homework support.
Maintaining a safe, clean, healthy, and enjoyable environment while serving as a positive role model for all children enrolled.
Arriving at the program on time, ready to work, and remaining until the final child is picked up.
Communicating regularly with parents and guardians through the Playground App.
Following all state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school procedures.
Some roles may also include administrative responsibilities such as maintaining attendance records, managing registration, and overseeing staffing.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years or older and possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferably at least one year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
Must be medically cleared of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
Warm, friendly, and energetic demeanor required. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be professional, dependable, and punctual.
Physically capable of bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs., and able to keep pace with active children.
