Respite Provider Needed for Creative Teen
We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic respite provider to support a creative and artsy teenager who enjoys spending time out in the community and connecting through shared interests. She prefers relaxed, creative, or exploratory outings. Like many teens, she can be moody at times but generally does well with providers who are patient, respectful, and able to meet her where she’s at.
Location: Eau Claire - Out in the Community, In-home care may be considered later once a strong, comfortable provider relationship is established.
Schedule: Flexible Weekends/Afternoons - Up to 12Hr/Month
Compensation: $14.13/Hour
What We’re Looking For in a Provider:
• Someone enthusiastic, creative, and able to engage at the teen’s level
• Comfortable participating in creative activities without taking over
• Able to support healthy independence (encouraging self-validation)
• Patient, respectful, and emotionally aware
• Supportive and affirming, especially regarding LGBTQ+ topics
• Some awareness or understanding of self-harm (no active behaviors, just awareness needed)
About the Child:
The client is a creative, expressive teen who loves:
• Baking and creative cooking projects
• Painting, crafts, drawing, and making fake nail sets
• Artsy and creative outlets
• Cartoons and anime
• Music and singing
• Spending time out and about walking downtown, going to the mall, listening to music, and doing teenager things
• Animals (cat cafés are a big hit!)
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable vehicle
• Auto insurance
• Comfortable transporting the teen in to the community
• Prior experience working with teens is preferred
