SUMMARY
The Retail Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of Keerat Enterprises Pty Ltd by overseeing efficient store operations, delivering outstanding customer service, and driving sales performance. This position is critical for maintaining the store's reputation, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and implementing effective merchandising and inventory management strategies. The Retail Manager will work in a collaborative environment, focusing on operational excellence, staff leadership, and achieving business growth.
DUTIES
• Managing Store Operations:
• Overseeing daily store operations, ensuring seamless workflow and adherence to company standards.
• Implementing store policies and procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency.
• Monitoring store cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards.
• Inventory and Stock Management:
• Managing stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
• Conducting regular stock audits to identify discrepancies and prevent losses.
• Implementing strategies to minimize waste and improve inventory turnover.
• Sales and Marketing Initiatives:
• Formulating and executing marketing campaigns to promote the store's products and services.
• Analysing sales trends and customer feedback to drive targeted promotions.
• Collaborating with the franchise marketing team to implement brand initiatives.
• Customer Service Excellence:
• Ensuring high-quality customer service by training staff on customer interaction protocols.
• Addressing customer complaints and resolving issues promptly.
• Implementing customer loyalty programs to enhance retention.
• Staff Supervision and Training:
• Recruiting, training, and supervising staff to maintain operational efficiency.
• Conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.
• Creating staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
• Financial and Budgetary Management:
• Preparing budgets and monitoring financial performance against targets.
• Managing cash flow, sales reports, and expense tracking.
• Implementing cost-control measures to optimize profitability.
• Compliance and Workplace Safety:
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
• Maintaining accurate records of workplace incidents and safety training.
• Conducting regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
Skill and experience requirement:
• Diploma of Leadership & Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in retail management role.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in retail or hospitality management.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience in staff supervision, onboarding, training, and performance support.
• Demonstrated experience in retail management or a comparable supervisory role, ideally within a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven capacity to motivate and lead teams effectively
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and implement strategies to improve business performance
• Highly developed organisational and time-management skills, supported by a proactive and hands-on leadership style
• Experience in inventory management, including stock control, ordering, and supply chain coordination.
• Sound understanding of budgeting, promotions, and cost control, with involvement in quarterly budgeting and sales initiatives.
• Familiarity with inventory management and point-of-sale systems (advantageous but not mandatory)
• A strong commitment to retail operations, sales growth, and achieving positive team outcomes
