About the Role
Reporting to the Logistics Team, you will be responsible for operating a rigid truck to move goods within the yard and perform local deliveries to designated customer locations. This role focuses on short distance transport, safe vehicle manoeuvring, and coordination with logistics and dispatch staff to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Drive and manoeuvre a rigid truck into position for loading and unloading
• Transport goods to designated local locations as required
• Communicate with logistics, dispatch, and sales teams to coordinate vehicle movements and deliveries
• Safely position trucks in loading and unloading bays in a timely manner
• Ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles between parking areas and loading bays
• Maintain awareness of pedestrian and vehicle safety within the yard, including entry and exit points
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with site rules, road regulations, and safety procedures
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and deliveries, including locations and timings where required
• Report vehicle accidents, mechanical defects, or safety concerns promptly
• Perform routine vehicle checks such as monitoring tyres, fluids, and general vehicle condition
• Take responsible action to ensure the safety and security of vehicles, equipment, and transported goods

Licensing and Requirements
• Valid HR or MR rigid truck licence
• Current VicRoads driving record
• Good driving history and demonstrated safe driving practices
• Ability to comply with site safety procedures and operational requirements
• Physically fit and capable of handling loading and unloading activities associated with the role
