Vbathroom is seeking a Full-Time Accountant to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing the company’s overall accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and supporting management with strategic financial planning. Reporting directly to the Manager, this is a great opportunity for a motivated accountant who wants to grow with the company and contribute to its long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations: accounts payable/receivable, payroll data, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance and month-end closing.
• Prepare internal financial statements, management reports and cash flow summaries to assist management in decision-making.
• Monitor company expenses, track budgets, and analyse financial performance for cost control and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and internal controls, ensuring completeness and reliability of accounting data.
• Handle BAS lodgements, taxation, and annual financial reporting.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and internal financial planning; support strategic initiatives by analysing cost structures, income/expenditure trends and cash flow risk.
• Introduce, maintain and advise on the selection or improvement of accounting systems and processes in line with company needs.
• Support process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Contribute to formulating budgetary and accounting policies, examine operating costs, income and expenditure and provide analysis to support business decisions.

Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 1 2 years of experience in accounting or financial administration
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal financial management
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, MYOB) and MS Excel
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with management and external accountants
• CPA or similar qualification (or currently studying towards one) is an advantage, but not essential
