SaltPools Pty Ltd is a leading provider of design, pool construction, and premium landscaping services across Melbourne. Based in Camberwell, we specialise in creating customised outdoor environments that combine beautiful landscape features with high-quality swimming pool installations.
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Landscape Gardener to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about garden creation, plant care, landscape construction, and delivering exceptional outdoor results to clients.

Key Responsibilities
Garden Establishment & Plant Care
• Preparing, cultivating, and maintaining seedbeds and planting areas to support healthy plant growth.
• Propagating and planting a wide range of vegetation, including trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and bulbs.
• Preparing lawn areas through topsoil spreading, grass planting, and installation of instant turf.
• Conducting ongoing maintenance of landscaped areas, including weeding, trimming, mulching, fertilising, watering, and mowing.
• Pruning trees and hedges to maintain shape, structure, and plant health.
• Installing plant support frameworks and protective devices to ensure optimal plant development.
Landscape Planning & Construction
• Interpreting plans, drawings, and landscape designs to execute projects correctly.
• Assisting with material and plant selection suitable to site conditions and client preferences.
• Scheduling and coordinating landscape tasks to meet project timelines.
• Setting out and installing both softscape and hardscape features within residential outdoor environments.
• Constructing and installing elements such as paved areas, gravel paths, retaining walls, fencing, pergolas, ponds, outdoor furniture, and other garden structures.
Tree Care & Pest Management
• Inspecting trees to evaluate their health and identifying required treatments or maintenance.
• Trimming, shaping, and lopping branches using appropriate tools, including chainsaws and hand saws.
• Applying sprays and treatments to control plant diseases, pests, and infestations.
• Safely removing damaged or diseased trees in accordance with workplace safety standards.

About You
• Proven experience in landscaping, horticulture, garden construction, or a related field
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and design specifications
• Strong plant knowledge and hands-on practical skills
• Confident operating landscaping equipment and power tools
• Safety-conscious, reliable, and hardworking
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
