About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Travel Consultant to join our professional team in Melbourne.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert travel advice, planning and coordinating complete travel itineraries, and ensuring clients receive high-quality service and value across all aspects of their travel experience.

Key Responsibilities
• Consult with clients to determine travel needs, preferences, and budgets.
• Provide professional advice on destinations, travel routes, transportation, accommodation, and insurance options.
• Prepare accurate quotations and issue tickets, vouchers, and itineraries using GDS systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
• Promote and sell travel packages, tours, insurance, and other add-on services.
• Ensure compliance with travel industry standards, visa requirements, and documentation regulations.
• Liaise with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other suppliers to secure bookings and resolve service issues.
• Maintain client records and booking files within company systems.
• Process client payments and maintain accurate financial and booking records in accordance with company policy.
• Provide exceptional customer service and after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Stay updated on new destinations, products, and industry trends to provide informed recommendations.
Skills and Competencies
• Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
• Strong understanding of airfares, ticketing rules, and travel documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in managing bookings and documentation.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve performance and revenue targets.
• Problem-solving ability and professionalism in handling client and supplier issues.
• A passion for travel and an understanding of global destinations and cultures.
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar travel advisory role.
• Qualification in Travel and Tourism (Certificate III/IV or Diploma) or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience in managing international travel bookings and itineraries.
• Familiarity with Australian and international visa, health, and customs regulations.
