Full time Chef
Salary Range: $76,515 per annum plus the superannuation

Description

Tasks include:
• Preparing and cooking meals and supervising the preparation of meals by kitchen staff.
• Seasoning & portioning a variety of dish and carving and trimming foods to ready them for different dishes.
• Monitoring quality of dishes during preparation.
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
• Leading, guiding and inspiring the kitchen team to deliver the best results.
• Managing kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, cost control and budgeting.
• Developing, testing, and introducing new menu items as per seasonal produce.
• Estimating/managing food costs.
• Coordinating with Head Chef in planning of the menu items.
• Ensuring the workplace is clean and hygiene and always meets the relevant standards.
• Compliance with OH&S and Food Safety standards.
• Working alongside the management team.
• Supervising and guiding junior kitchen staff.
• Planning of special weekly and monthly menu items as required.
• Coordinating and managing the orders of the stock as required.

Experience

• Relevant certificate level of course is an advantage.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience or more.
• Available across the working week, including weekends and nights.
• Experience cooking various fish menu items.
• Knowledge and skill to cook various cuisines menu items as required
• Proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to achieve them.
• Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
• Proven ability to ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations.
• Passion for developing innovative menu items.
