Job Summary:
The Chemist will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses of feeds, food products, and edible oils to ensure compliance with safety, nutritional, and quality standards. The role involves laboratory testing, data interpretation, and maintaining accurate records for production and quality assurance purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform chemical and physical analyses of feed, food, and oil samples.
Prepare and standardize reagents, solutions, and test samples.
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments (e.g., spectrophotometers, pH meters, GC, HPLC).
Document and interpret analytical results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with production and quality control teams to ensure product compliance.
Adhere to laboratory safety procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Participate in product research, formulation, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
B.Sc. / HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
2 5 years of relevant laboratory experience in feeds, food, or oil analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with ISO, NAFDAC, or SON laboratory standards.
Good communication and documentation skills.
