# Pro Athlete Impact Internship - Voice Up
*Amplifying the Community Impact of Retired Professional Athletes' Foundations*
## Position Overview
Voice Up seeks Professional Athlete Foundation Impact Interns to amplify the reach, accountability, and transformative impact of foundations established by retired professional athletes. This 100% remote internship empowers advocates to document, measure, and scale community work through Voice Up's proven data collection methodologies (97.1% satisfaction rate, 470+ students trained across top universities.
**Data drives systemic change and this is where Voice Up excels.**
## Core Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive interviews with foundation leaders, program participants, and community partners
- Document quantitative outcomes and capture qualitative impact through video testimonials and case studies
- Create before/after assessments using Voice Up's validated measurement tools
- Research foundation programming across multiple cities to identify replicable models
- Produce multimedia content for social media, podcasts, and Voice Up's *Make The Difference* publication
- Develop grant-ready materials including impact reports and fundraising narratives
- Document implementation of the **B Curriculum framework** a research-backed mental wellness approach addressing: Breathing, Banking, Balance, Bench, Belonging, Birds, Bamboo, and Being Bold
## Three Ways to Participate
### **1. Volunteer Track (5-10 hours/week)**
Flexible schedule building portfolio experience in nonprofit impact measurement and athlete leadership documentation. Includes training, mentorship, letter of recommendation, and priority consideration for paid positions.
### **2. Academic Credit Track (Hours based on university requirements)**
Earn credit through your institution while developing skills in nonprofit evaluation and multimedia storytelling. Includes everything in Volunteer Track plus formal documentation for university requirements and academic supervision support.
### **3. Voice Up University Enrollment (10-15 hours/week minimum)**
100% online career development program with $50 minimum per week subscription ($200-250/month basic level) based on training type requested. Cancel anytime. Connects directly with employment opportunities while building market-proof portfolios demonstrating tangible economic value.
**Includes:** Direct employment pipeline, career coaching, stipend opportunities (often offsetting subscription costs within 1-2 months), enhanced training, and professional network access across athlete-led foundations and nonprofits nationwide.
## Qualifications
Current undergraduate/graduate student in communications, nonprofit management, social work, public health, or sports management. Strong writing/multimedia skills, cultural sensitivity, and passion for community impact required.
