Healthy Kids Programs is on the lookout for a dynamic Director to lead our Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year. As the Director, you'll be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site.

JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Lopatcong Elementary School in Phillipsburg, NJ
PAY: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
HOURS: 7:00 - 8:00 am and 2:30 - 5:30 pm

JOB CONSISTS OF:

Ensuring Compliance: Make sure both staff and programs follow OCFS regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and the guidelines set by our host school.
Bringing the Fun Factor: Lead engaging, hands-on activities inspired by the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academics, and arts. And when it’s homework time, you’ll be the go-to homework hero!
Managing Like a Pro: Oversee key operational tasks such as maintaining accurate attendance and registration records, and ensuring proper staffing levels so everything runs smoothly.
Keeping Everyone Connected: Use the Playground App to maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and families.
Teamwork in Action: Communicate regularly and effectively with your supervisor, keeping them informed of daily events and addressing any issues promptly. By working as one strong team, we’ll provide exceptional care, a positive work culture, and handle challenges proactively.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Option 1: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any field related to Child Growth and Development; or a Teaching Certification from the Department of Education in Elementary Education, Nursery School, Preschool through Third Grade (P-3), or Teacher of the Handicapped. Plus, six Early Childhood credits and two years of experience working with children.

Option 2: Bachelor’s Degree in another field, with six Early Childhood credits and four years of experience working with children.

Option 3: Head Teacher endorsement from the New Jersey Registry for Childhood Professionals (Professional Impact New Jersey).

QUALIFICATIONS:

You’re medically cleared by your doctor to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including TB.
You’re warm, friendly, and positive! Great communication skills are your strength whether with kids, parents, or teammates. You’re also dependable, professional, and punctual.
You’re ready to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and bring the energy needed to keep up with active children!
