Healthy Kids Programs is currently hiring Group Teachers for our Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year. We're looking for someone who loves working with children and is passionate about creating an environment where kids can thrive.

JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Frelinghuysen Elementary School in Newton, NJ
PAY: $15.49 - $17.00 per hour
HOURS: 7:30 - 8:30 am and 3:15 - 6:15 pm

JOB CONSISTS OF:

Guiding Compliance: Make sure both staff and programs stay aligned with NJ regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules of our awesome host school.
Bringing the Fun: Lead hands-on, engaging activities straight from the Healthy Kids Way Curriculum think fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. When it’s homework time, you’ll be the ultimate homework hero!
Be the Role Model: Build a safe, healthy, and totally fun space where kids can shine. Be the example they’ll want to follow every single day.
Managing Like a Boss: Help the Site Director with daily management duties keeping attendance and registration accurate, staffing on point, and the program running smoothly. When the Site Director’s away, you’ll step up as the go-to person in charge.
Keeping Everyone in the Know: Stay connected with families through the Playground App to keep communication flowing.
Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with the Site Director, sharing updates on the day’s events and tackling issues quickly. Together, we’ll create top-notch care, a supportive team vibe, and solutions that keep things running strong.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree in Child Development, Child Development Certificate.

OR

Six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and Nine college credits in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to child growth or development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

You've got the green light from your doctor - medically fit to rock all the job duties and free of any communicable diseases including TB.
You’re warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills are your jam, whether it's with kiddos, parents, or fellow team members. Plus, you're professional, reliable, and always prompt.
You're ready to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and basically do whatever it takes to keep up with energetic kiddos!
