Full Time Carpenter
Salary $80,600 + superannuation

Key Responsibilities:
• Study architectural drawings, specifications, and client requirements to determine the timber, dimensions, and installation methods required for staircase construction.
• Select and order high-quality timbers and materials, preparing accurate layouts for staircases and associated joinery.
• Cut, shape, and prepare timber and components for staircases using both hand and power tools, ensuring precision and quality.
• Assemble, join, and secure timber parts to construct staircases, balustrades, and fittings, ensuring durability and compliance with structural requirements.
• Install completed staircases on site, working collaboratively with builders, supervisors, and clients to ensure correct fit and finish.
• Measure and verify dimensions, angles, and trueness of structures to ensure compliance with Australian building codes and safety standards.
• Construct and fit stair accessories, handrails, and cladding, applying finishing techniques to deliver a high-quality product that integrates seamlessly with overall building design.
• Cut and prepare joints, including complex wood joints, for secure and durable assembly of staircases.
• Repair, adjust, or replace existing staircase fittings as required.
• Apply skills in working with additional materials such as laminates, perspex, or metal elements to enhance staircase design and functionality.

Required Skills
Cert III in Carpentry and minimum 2 years work experience or
Cert IV in Building and Construction with minimum 1 year work experience
