Full time Mechanical Engineering Technician
SALARY $104,000.00 p/a + Superannuation for the right candidate

The position of Mechanical Engineering Technician is full-time; our projects are in Sydney and regional New South Wales. You will provide assistance to mechanical engineers and installation teams in site inspections, design, installation, testing and commissioning of lifts.
The position requires experience in the lift industry and familiarity with a range of elevator systems and equipment. Our Mechanical Engineering Technician must be enthusiastic, energetic, able to work with the installation team and have excellent communication skills.

DUTIES
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, specifications, designs, layout of mechanical systems and motor control systems.
- Provide technical support to mechanical engineers and project teams.
- Inspect for compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Assembly and installation of mechanical components on lifts, travelators and escalators.
- Performing load, stress and safety calculations for mechanical components.
- Conducting troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for breakdowns and failures.
- Coordinating with electrical/control engineers for integration of mechanical and electronic systems.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field OR at least three (3) years
- of full-time relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
- A minimum of 1-year relevant industry experience
- Technical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
