Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Dental Surgery Assistant (DSA) to support our dentists in delivering high-quality dental care. The DSA will assist during dental procedures, maintain a clean and sterile environment, and ensure excellent patient care and comfort throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the dental surgery/operating area before procedures.
- Assist the dentist during all clinical procedures (e.g., fillings, extractions, root canals, surgeries).
- Ensure all dental instruments are properly sterilized and set up.
- Record patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans accurately.
- Handle and develop dental X-rays as needed.
- Maintain patient comfort and provide pre- and post-operative instructions.
- Manage stock and supplies, ensuring availability for daily operations.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and clinic hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum SPM or equivalent; DSA certification is a plus.
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant preferred (training provided for fresh graduates).
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player with a caring and positive attitude.
- Willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
