Job Description
Job Purpose:
To monitor, analyze, and optimize the DRI plant process parameters to achieve stable operation, improved efficiency, and consistent product quality while minimizing energy consumption and downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and control process variables such as temperature, gas flow, pressure, and metallization rate.
Analyze process data and recommend adjustments to improve production performance and reduce fuel consumption.
Coordinate with Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams to ensure smooth and safe operation.
Conduct process trials and performance studies to enhance plant output and quality.
Support troubleshooting during process upsets and participate in root cause analysis.
Assist in implementing new process control systems, modifications, and improvement projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering.
3 5 years of experience in process engineering or plant operations in a DRI, Steel, or similar process industry.
Strong understanding of DRI process chemistry, heat and mass balance, and gas-based reduction systems.
Proficiency in data analysis tools, DCS/SCADA systems, and MS Office.
