Job Description

Job Purpose:
To plan, execute, and monitor mechanical maintenance activities for DRI plant equipment to ensure maximum reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of rotary kilns, coolers, conveyors, compressors, pumps, and other mechanical systems.

Supervise and support technicians and fitters during maintenance jobs.
Inspect and monitor critical rotating equipment for vibration, temperature, and lubrication conditions.

Participate in root cause analysis of failures and implement corrective and preventive measures.

Prepare maintenance schedules, and spares requirements in coordination with the planning team.

Ensure adherence to mechanical safety standards, work permits, and housekeeping during all maintenance work.

Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning new mechanical equipment or plant modifications.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate daily activity reports.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

3 5 years of relevant experience in DRI, Steel, Cement, or Process Plant maintenance.

Strong technical knowledge of rotary machinery, conveyors, gearboxes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and engineering drawings.

Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
