Job Description
We are currently searching for a Quality Assurance Manager for our client an aerospace/defense/aviation company. This position will manage all aspects of quality functions for the value stream including inspection, records, site audits and FAA compliance.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Provide leadership and direction for QA staff and various levels of inspectors.
Maintain and improve quality system which ensures compliance to regulatory, customer and corporate requirements.
As a member of the Value Stream Staff, provides Leadership for the strategic direction and improvement of the business.
Drives improvement in key business metrics including CoPQ, Delivered Quality and Customer Quality Scorecards.
Leads and coaches relentless root cause corrective action (RCCA) and the effective use of other quality tools in all these areas.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in an FAA and Aerospace regulated environment
Aircraft and Power Plant License desired, but not required.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are essential.
Strong understanding and leadership of ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Proven ability to apply measurement, analysis, and CI tools to create lasting operational improvements.
Demonstrated experience with customer focused activities and relationship development.
Able to communicate cross-functionally at all levels of the business - internally and externally.
Strategic planning and development tools such as policy deployment.
Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel; knowledge of Quantum software or equivalent business software.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering from a four year accredited institution.
10 years of manufacturing experience required.
5 years of management/leadership roles.
