Position Overview:
We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Finance team at LPL Financial. In this role, you will leverage your technical skills to analyze large datasets and provide valuable insights that support business decision-making and financial strategy. You will play an essential role in shaping our data-driven approach, collaborating with teams across the organization to improve financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze financial datasets to identify trends, discrepancies, and key insights that inform business decisions.
Create and maintain dashboards, financial reports, and visualizations for stakeholders across the organization.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting efforts by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data.
Data Management:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and streamline processes for data collection, cleaning, and integration.
Maintain and improve data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
Business Insight & Decision Support:
Work closely with business leaders to provide actionable insights from data analysis.
Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis to address specific business needs.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement opportunities for automating reporting processes to increase efficiency.
Optimize financial data workflows to improve the quality and speed of decision-making.
Communication & Collaboration:
Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Present data insights to senior management in an easily understandable format.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, or related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within finance or financial services.
Solid understanding of financial metrics and performance indicators.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and financial modeling.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and draw actionable conclusions.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data in an accessible format to all levels of the organization.
Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high accuracy while handling large datasets.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Finance, Data Science, or related field.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial software.
Familiarity with machine learning and predictive analytics techniques.
