We’re currently seeking enthusiastic team members for a variety of roles in our After School Programs for the 2025 2026 school year, located throughout Schenectady, Albany, and Montgomery Counties. Positions are available within the following districts: Shalmont Central School, Cohoes City School, and Amsterdam Central School Districts.
JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
POSITIONS OPEN: Substitutes, Assistants, Group Leaders, Supervisors, Directors
HOURLY PAY: $15.50 $18.00 (dependent on role, experience, and qualifications)
Our Before and After-School Program staff are responsible for:
Leading engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including academic enrichment, fitness, STEAM, creative arts, and group games plus supporting students with homework.
Creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment while being a positive role model for children.
Staying in communication with families daily using the Playground App.
Following all state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and any rules set by our school partners.
Depending on the role, additional responsibilities may include maintaining attendance, overseeing registration, and assisting with staffing logistics.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You are at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with children under age 13 is a plus but not required. We value passion and willingness to learn!
You are medically cleared to fulfill all job responsibilities and are free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis.
You bring a positive, team-oriented attitude and connect easily with children, families, and coworkers. You're dependable, professional, and punctual.
You’re physically prepared for an active role lifting, bending, stretching, and moving as needed (up to 50 lbs.) to keep up with energetic kids.
