Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Reception Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of our venue and lead our team in providing exceptional service to clients and guests. The ideal candidate will have proven hospitality management experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in event delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the reception venue to ensure smooth delivery of weddings, corporate events, cultural functions, and private gatherings.
• Consult with clients to understand event requirements, provide tailored solutions, and deliver personalised service from planning to completion.
• Plan, organise, and coordinate functions, including venue layout, scheduling, catering arrangements, and staffing.
• Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff to maintain high service standards.
• Monitor service quality and ensure client satisfaction throughout each event.
• Control budgets and manage financial aspects of events, including quotations, invoicing, and cost monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Oversee marketing and promotional activities to attract new clients and maintain venue reputation.
• Handle client feedback, resolve issues promptly, and ensure continuous service improvement.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
Skills & Experience Required
• Minimum Diploma in the relevant field and 1-year full-time experience as a reception centre manager
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
• Sound financial management and budgeting skills.
• Proven ability to plan and coordinate large-scale events.
• Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements (licensing, safety, hygiene).
