The Ophthalmic OT Nurse will be responsible for assisting in ophthalmic surgical procedures, maintaining sterile environments, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing the ophthalmic operating theatre and surgical instruments
- Assisting ophthalmologists during procedures such as cataract, LASIK, and retinal surgeries
- Monitoring patient vitals and recovery post-operation
- Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols
- Educating patients on pre- and post-operative care
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care
