Voice Up, Flyght Academy, and The Wright Way Foundation have created a revolutionary Online/On-Campus Learning Alliance that transforms family engagement in education. This first-of-its-kind hybrid model seamlessly blends online flexibility with on-campus community in Trotwood, Ohio (Dayton area), combining athletic development, purpose discovery, and family-centered education through experiential learning that creates real social impact.
### Position Overview for Student Interns
We seek passionate undergraduate and graduate students who want hands-on experience revolutionizing family-engaged learning through our innovative Learning Alliance. This teaching internship provides aspiring educators real-world experience supporting both online and on-campus learning while building authentic community connections.
**Teaching Intern Options:**
- **Online Learning Assistant** - Support families remotely while gaining digital education experience
- **On-Campus Learning Assistant** - Work with student-athletes on campus while supporting online integration
- **Hybrid Learning Assistant** - Experience both online and on-campus educational modalities
### Core Learning & Teaching Responsibilities
Universal Responsibilities (All Tracks)
- Assist families through our "Baker's Dozen" learning framework prioritizing mental health
- Support purpose discovery using monthly self-assessment tools under faculty supervision
- Help create collaborative learning environments built on five founding principles: Collaboration, Humility, Precision, Patience, and Empathy
- Assist with experiential learning projects creating community impact
- Connect learning experiences to real-world applications
- Support coaching conversations helping families discover collective talents and purpose
- Contribute to curriculum development while learning innovative educational approaches
Online Learning Assistant Track
- Support families remotely through Voice Up University's digital platform
- Assist with three-step family preparation: Better Online Learning, Purpose-Focused Approach, and Family Game Planning
- Help facilitate virtual family workshops and conversations
- Connect families with on-campus experiences and mentors
- Support record-keeping systems tracking purpose-connected growth
- Learn to bridge online learning with real-world applications
On-Campus Learning Assistant Track (Trotwood, Ohio)
- Work on-campus 1-2 days per week with small learning pods of middle/high school student-athletes
- Assist with integrating athletic development and academic learning through "Four Stars" approach
- Support students through Ohio Connections Academy's online curriculum
- Help facilitate mentorship with college students and community leaders
- Connect on-campus experiences with home-based online learning
- Learn NCAA eligibility requirements and compliance
Hybrid Learning Assistant Track
- Experience both online and on-campus learning components
- Help families transition between online flexibility and on-campus community
- Assist with connecting online families to campus-based experiences
- Support hybrid workshops combining virtual and in-person elements
- Learn to create cohesive educational journeys across modalities
Shared Learning Elements (All Tracks)
- Connect students with college mentors from leading universities
- Support mental health through projects aligned with personal talents
- Assist with student contributions to quarterly "Make the Difference" publication
- Help facilitate community projects where students choose causes they care about
- Learn college admissions and career exploration through purpose-connected experiences
### Qualifications for Student Interns
**Required:**
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in Education, Family Studies, Athletics, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Interest in innovative, family-engaged education approaches
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for learning
- Comfort with digital platforms and/or in-person learning environments
**Preferred:**
- Previous experience working with families, youth, or in educational settings
- Interest in athletic coaching or student-athlete development
- Background in community service or social impact projects
- Mental health and wellness interest or coursework
- Faith-based education interest (for faith track families)
- Entrepreneurship or nonprofit management coursework
### Learning Outcomes for Interns
Through this internship, students will gain experience in:

### Position Details
**Commitment:**
- Academic semester or year-long internship
- Online Learning Assistant: 8-12 hours per week, 100% remote with flexible scheduling
- On-Campus Learning Assistant: 10-15 hours per week, 1-2 days on campus in Trotwood, Ohio + remote support
- Hybrid Learning Assistant: 10-15 hours per week, flexible combination of online and on-campus
- Summer internship opportunities available
