Job Description:

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Officer to help us expand our clientele. The candidate would have proven working experience as a business development officer, regional sales executive, or a relevant role.

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction

2. Review and monitor strategies of the company as it regards sales, advertising, marketing, and other related fields of business

3. Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to communication and sales guidelines.

4. Serve as the company’s representation in trade associations and other promotional events

5. Create opportunities for new products/services by networking

6. Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, customer needs, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.

7. Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives

8. Evaluate the company’s competition and its competitors

9. Engage in research as regards how the company can improve its offers

Requirements and skills

You'll need to have:

1. Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets

2. Selling, Communication, and Negotiation skills

3. Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients

4. Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills

5. IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets

6. Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work

7. Strategic Thinking and Decision-making skills

8. Ability to analyze sales figures and write reports

9. BSc/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field with a minimum of three years experience.
