A materials scientist capable of investigating basic and applied biomedical research and technology. You will be responsible for conducting hands-on experiments in biomedical testing, process optimization, material characterization, and new method development, as well as executing research programs. You will be required to document and summarize key discoveries into technical reports and presentations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the study of basic and applied biomedical materials' properties for novel medical device development, including but not limited to surgical devices and implants
- Contribute to the consultation and testing of biomaterials and coatings related to medical devices, surgical devices, implants, etc.
- Conduct biological evaluation experiments for new materials as well as material performance testing, including coordination, execution, and/or analysis of material characterization (SEM, TEM, XRD, XFS, XPS, etc.)
- Responsible for interpreting experimental data, comparing with literature results, and writing/submitting technical reports
Qualifications
- Master's degree or above in Biological Science, Materials Science, and Chemical Engineering, greater than 3 years of work experience in industry or academia is preferred
- Possess knowledge/expertise in materials, biology, biomedical and laboratory methodology
- Strong technical foundation in biomedical evaluation for new materials
- Lab metrology, new methodology development capabilities
- Process optimization and SOP development capabilities
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build relationships and interact with teams
- Ability to effectively present information
- Ability to adjust smoothly according to situations
