Initiate, develop and execute strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of global and regional preferred supplier partners. Negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships. Review, approve, monitor and report compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions. Develop innovative business solutions, forecast commodity projections and provide mitigation actions as applicable. Present to senior management new planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives. Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures. Benchmark procurement processes to develop and implement best practices throughout Eaton and Supply Chain Management. Ensure compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Sustainability Programs, Go GREEN initiatives and SCM policies. Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability. Plan, prepare and execute annual profit planning for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross functional teams. Lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers annually. Position is fixed location based in Southfield, MI office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed up to three (3) days per week. 20% travel required for both domestic and international (as needed).

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.
Five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain, Category Management, Procurement, or Operations. Experience must include:

Three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
• Turned parts category and technology trends within the category.
• Fact based negotiations.
• Macroeconomic trends and effect on category.
• Requirements as they pertain to automotive supplier qualification.
• Should-cost modeling, and creating a narrative based off these results to close a cost gap.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Business, Finance, or a directly related field
