Industrial Engineer II

Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and manufacturing and quality data to verify efficient

Monitor and continuously improve production output to time standard performance.
Coordinate line layout, workstation and warehouse improvement activities.
Designs and procures production tooling, fixtures, equipment and workstations to support high
productivity and utilization of resources.
Creates Process instructions including Visual Aids, Checklists, and ISO procedures.
Prepares time studies for current products and estimates for proposed products.
Reduces or eliminate non-value added activities and waste using Lean methodologies.
Encourages site Lean engagement at all levels within the organization through close alignment and
support of the site’s Lean Leader, Functional Management and General Manager.
Supports Lean VSM activity and site continuous improvement activities.
Monitors and reduces scrap created at manual processes by monitoring quality data and taking
corrective action to reduce or eliminating root cause.
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
Design and coordinate layout activities.
Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow,
relocating workstations, equipment, and purchase of equipment.
Provide coaching, mentoring and training to junior employees.
Assign duties to drafters and technicians to support ongoing projects.
Drive and implement projects through Lean Six Sigma Methodologies.
Assist with quotes based on cost analysis, labor content, capital investment, and materials.
Oversee project budgets.
Implement improvements based on Time and Movements Methodology’ to maximize the productivity. Lead and implement Lean Methodologies such as 5S, TPM,and VSM
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary):
1. 4-year degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field preferred
2. Lean Green Belt Certification
3. 3-years industrial layout and project management experience
4. 2-years of experience designing ergonomic and efficient workstations
5. 2-years of experience in product quoting
6. 3-years of experience in ISO Compliance
7. Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification - preferred
8. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
