Accounting Assistant Temp-Perm 8: 00am-4: 30pm Monday thru Friday SUMMARY: The Accounting Assistant position is primarily an Accounts Payable role with Accounts Receivable exposure and potential growth.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
Process outgoing vendor payments in compliance with policies and procedures.
Reconcile vendor accounts and accounts payable ledger to ensure bills and payments are properly accounted for and posted.
Accounts receivable customer statements and collections, as needed.
Accounts receivable transactions, as needed.
Other duties, as necessary
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree and/or 1-2 years’ experience preferred, but not required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Solid understanding of basic accounting and accounts payable principles.
Understanding of GL accounts and cost centers.
Data entry skills and good with numbers.
Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Excel & Word.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Dependable.
