Job Description
Prepare conceptual sketches of mechanical system considering the relations between components, functional requirements, allocation of space and component geometry; test preliminary and conceptual designs, and technical drawings; investigate failures resulting from test and present concise conclusions and recommendations for design improvements based on analysis; using CAE and other automotive engineering tools, ensure quality of data collected, and perform numerical analysis; analyze data and develop durability specs for suspension and body; investigate and discrepancies in data and explain in detail, and draft formal communique summarizing input loads; propose recommendations for test/prediction process improvement to reduce both weight and cost for vehicle production. May need to work in other locations as required.
Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Automotive Engineering, and 5 years of experience.
